In July, I'm going to a close friend's wedding in upstate New York. It's an outdoor afternoon wedding, on a farm, and I'm clueless as to what to wear. Most of the weddings I've been to have been dressy evening occasions, where I've worn a cocktail dress and strappy sandals, but I don't think that's appropriate here, is it? I don't want to stick out like a sore thumb. What do you suggest?
