This new series was brought on by the fact that, while I am a 36 year-old woman, I sometimes have the personality of a tween. And part of that means that I sometimes get big swoony crushes on fictional characters.
So this is my ode to those fictional boys that we wish were real!
Today's fictional boyfriend is very timely, since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II just came out last week. I am a huge Harry Potter fan, and my favorite character is one Ronald Weasley.
I think I dig Ron because he's not the main hero. He's not the most confident or the most talented. He's totally awkward and doofy. But he's loyal, brave, goodhearted, and funny (he reminds me of my husband that way). Also, he's adorable. Adorable. I mean, seriously. Look how he grew up:
So, cheers to you, Ronald Bilius Weasley. You are the fictional boyfriend of a woman who is twice your age.
