Hi there! Heather Marie from Paper Doll Smile. I was so thrilled when I received an email from Dana asking me to guest post on What the Frock while she is on vacation. I hope she has a blast and can't wait to hear all about it!
Lately, I have been so inspired to create and pursue other projects. I took a minute to consider what exactly inspires me. This is what I came up with.
1. Fabric- Even though I can't sew, I find fabric especially inspiring. The texture, color, and designs are so beautiful. It's amazing how many different fabrics exist. I could walk around Jo Ann's all day getting lost in all the fun.
2. Music- I love iTunes and Pandora. I love how easy it is to purchase music on my phone. I find a new band through Pandora and can immediately download it from iTunes. I love music more than anything in the world. It's been an obsession of mine since I was a kid. It makes you happy, sad, mellow, hyper, excited. It's fantastic!
3. Tumblr- I find some of the most amazing photos on Tumblr. Everything from fashion to art. I see those photos and I just want to start painting or go shopping to replicate the look. I envy the girls that have an amazing wardrobe collection.
4. Kindle- What would I do without books? My fiancé bought me a Kindle a while back and I am just in love with it. My apartment was getting extremely crowded with books and I had no where to put them. When I heard about the Kindle I was intrigued. Thousands of books in the palm of my hand. I couldn't even imagine. I almost cried I was so ecstatic when he gave it to me. Reading is my life.
5. Google Reader- Every single blogger out there inspires me. I learn so much from them. I adore the blogger community and am thankful for each and everyone who have supported Paper Doll Smile from the beginning. I get so happy when I come across a new blog that I get to add to my reader. The layouts, visuals, and posts are all so unique. They work so hard and it inspires me to do the same.
6. Color palettes- Oh, how colors amaze me. You can add just a hint of color to anything to make it pop or throw tons together at once to make a wonderful rainbow of sorts. Colors bring everything to life. It's fascinating.
