Packing for Alaska, Part IV: Accessories

I'm usually a jewelry and accessories junkie, but I'm going to pack light and practical for Alaska. I mean, who's going to care about my bling? The bears? The sled dogs? The whales? I'll pack a few small pieces of jewelry and a few useful accessories, and that's it. Check it:

1. A simple silver-tone necklace.
2. A bright pashmina that adds color to any outfit (and that makes a good blanket for long plane rides).
3. Gold and black leather stud earrings.
4. A lightweight hat for rainy days and whale watching.
5. My favorite sunglasses.
6. Small silver stud earrings.
7. A flowy leopard scarf for a pop of style.
8. A small gold-tone necklace.
