My sister and her boyfriend live together in the Netherlands and are getting, well, sort-of married this summer. Technically, they're getting the Dutch version of a civil union. They've been jokingly called the whole to-do a "non-wedding," but they are having a civil ceremony and then a reception, and all of their friends and family will be there.
My sister has never been one to care much about fashion, but her boyfriend definitely is. He actually dresses pretty flamboyantly sometimes (he wore amazing bright blue pants to my wedding), and he's planning on getting a suit made from this Paul Smith Bespoke Stripe fabric.
So my sister wants something that is:
- Not white, but...
- Special enough that she'll stand out
- Something that will go with (or at least not clash with) the suit fabric
- Flattering on her body (petite, pear shaped, short-waisted)
- And if I know my sister, which I do, she'll want comfy, sensible footwear
