I’m not usually stumped when it comes to choosing outfits, but I sometimes lack inspiration when it comes to home décor. To spur some inspiration (and maybe motivation to implement some DIY home projects!), I looked to one of my favorite warm weather outfits to inform my living room décor ideas. I then looked for inspiration on Pinterest and other home décor blogs to find a room that had the same feel as my outfit. I’ve found that I like to add bright pops of color to neutral outfits, so I thought I’d look for rooms that implemented the same idea.
My current living room does not look exactly like the photo above, but some of the elements from my outfit that I really like such as the pop of orange and the black and white stripes are in the room. I find the idea of implementing a few home projects from my inspiration much less daunting now that I can use outfits to narrow down colors and themes.
