Bookended by Memorial Day and Labor Day, summer is usually ripe with weekend {and sometimes long weekend} trips. I am notoriously horrible at packing. It's most obvious how poor my packing skills are for weekend trips. It's only two days! But I'm a quintessential Gemini. My mood changes from moment to moment, so I always feel the need to prepare my mobile closet accordingly.
This is what I packed for a Memorial Day trip to North Carolina. I knew most of our days would be pretty lazy. But I wanted to have something on hand should we spontaneously decide to go out to dinner. I found this combination to work for me very well. Think of this cluster of clothes in general categories. Choose styles in each category that suit you.

- Dresses: Maxi, midi, mini {Combination of any two}
- Hat: Make it classic
- Footwear: Sandals + other {Depending on your planned activities}
