Have you ever bought something, brought it home, and thought, "WHAT THE FROCK AM I GONNA WEAR THIS WITH ?" hehe! (cheesy, I know, but I couldn't help myself!) But seriously, my name is Eboni A.K.A. The Fashionista Next Door, and I am notorious for purchasing "must haves," bringing them home, and letting them rot in the bottom of my dresser. Case in point, this dress -- it is a perfectly plain wide striped bodycon, right? I bought it at Forever 21 for only $10, thinking I'd wear it with everything...a total must have, right? Well, that was two months ago. A couple of weeks ago, I found it....tags on... still in the bag...crumpled up in the corner of my closet. SMH. So, I took it out of the bag and hung it up with every intention of wearing it right away, but I kept passing it by...until this weekend! I was determined to wear it, so I forced myself to come up with three outfits on the spot! And, when Dana if I'd help fill in for her while she was on vacay, I thought I'd turn my self-imposed assignment into a post...so here I am, showing you one frock, three ways!

One of the really awesome things about bodycon dresses is their versatility. They make great tops! Here I tucked my dress into an old multicolor polka dot skirt, and finished off the look with a pair of sky-high wedges, and a beaded bib necklace. I'd totally wear this on a date with hubs.

Next, I dressed my bodycon all the way down and went the sporty chic route with a pair of camo converse, and a utilitarian style blazer. (I wish I'd gotten a good shot of the cool patches on the arms!) I finished the look off with lots of chunky gold jewelry! This is a great look for the weekend. I actually wore this exact outfit to a fundraiser this past Sunday!

For my last look, I kept things really simple, accessorizing with a white scarf, flat gold sandals, and a boyfriend style gold watch. I'd wear this to meet up with the girls for lunch!
Hubs totally thinks I'm crazy when I play dress up like this, but it really helps to get the juices flowing. Thinking of all the ways I can wear a particular piece rekindles the excitement I felt when I originally bought it! Now that I've got my mind on this dress, I'm sure I'll find myself reaching for it more often.
