What to Wear: on New Year's Eve

There are a lot of options for New Year's Eve: a quiet, romantic night at home, a fancy dinner, a house party, an upscale lounge, dancing at a club, a night of bar hopping, etc. For this look, I tried to put together something that would work for any of these choices, something festive but versatile and chic. The trick is luxe materials - sequins, lace and velvet - in casual silhouettes.
