Mixing Patterns: Bright and Casual

I get a lot of requests for advice on mixing patterns, so all this week, I'll be putting together some fun outfits with mixed prints.

But first, my rules:

1. Match a color or two, or at least keep the palettes somewhat similar
2. Combine a small scale print with a large scale print, or a geometric print with something more natural.
3. Anchor the prints with similar colored accessories. 
4. Most importantly, wear it with confidence! You can pull off anything if you believe that you can.

Here's how I'd mix patterns and prints for a preppy, casual look.
