What to Wear: Secret Jeans at Work (Shh!)

For the past thirteen years, I've either worked at a very casual office, or at home, so with the exception of some client meetings and job interviews, I wear jeans to work almost every single day.

Since I rarely need them, I refuse to spend a lot of money on work clothes. I don't own a single pair of dress pants or a suit. Instead, I buy some versatile pieces that work in and out of the office, like button down tops, cardigans, or tailored skirts, and use them to dress up some pieces that may not be office-appropriate on their own.

So this week, I'll be posting work outfits for people like me, who hate work clothes.

For example, here's an outfit I wore to a client meeting last week. Guess what - those are jeans! But they're darkest solid black, and straight-leg instead of skinny, so when paired with professional pieces, they just look like black pants.
