I just accepted a new job at a nonprofit, and they have a very casual dress code. I'm coming from a law firm, so I've never been allowed to wear jeans to work before. But I'm not sure how casual I'm allowed to go. Can I wear jeans with sneakers and a t-shirt? Or do I have to wear a button down and heels? Any suggestions?
My suggestion is to err on the side of caution for your first week at the new office, and see how everyone else dresses. If they wear sneaks and tees, then chances are, you can too. But while you're still feeling things out, here's a jeans outfit that'll be appropriate at the office no matter what.
