5 Under $50: BHLDN

It's been a long, long time since I've done a 5 Under $50 post, but I really, really wanted to feature this retailer. Have you heard about BHLDN? It's the new wedding and event line from Urban Outfitters, Inc. (who, besides Urban, also own Free People and Anthropologie), and the merchandise is just gorgeous. Most of it is sold at much higher price points, but there are a handful of special items that are very affordable. Check them out:

5 Under $50: Guest Post from That Wife

I've been so busy that I've had to cut down on a few posts, but luckily, I know some incredibly stylish people who are willing to guest post once in a while! Today's guest blogger is Jenna from That Wife.

I'm a stay at home mom that likes to dress up, so when I leave the house I'm usually wearing a dress. I need to keep my shoulders and thighs covered, so sites like Mikarose are the first place I turn when I want to add a new dress to my wardrobe. I frequently add in a pair of tights (I own several purple pairs actually) because with a baby I sometimes I have to crawl around on the floor after him and the tights help me feel a bit more covered. I chose flats because if I'm leaving the house I'm probably running errands and I don't want to be limping after an afternoon of Costco and Target! A big purse if a must if I don't have my diaper bag so I can keep the baby essentials with me, and I added a pop of color with the pink necklace (that I hope my baby can chew on without breaking because he loves to snack on my jewelry!)

5 Under $50: "Stand-In" Engagement Rings

Today's 5 under $50 post is a request that comes from a reader, a nurse who is about to go spend two months in Haiti. She is engaged and doesn't feel comfortable bringing her pricey engagement ring on her trip, but she doesn't want to leave her ring finger naked while she's gone. She asked me to find some inexpensive but pretty "stand-in" engagement rings.

5 Under $50: Urban Cowgirl

The trick to western-inspired fashion is to never wear more than one piece at a time; any more than that and you look like you're wearing a cowgirl costume. Here are some fun but subtle pieces that would work as well on the city streets as at a rodeo.

5 Under $50: Guest Post from Kristin @ BienLiving

Today's guest post comes from someone who came up with an absolutely brilliant idea. Kristin of Bien Living Design offers Long Distance Design - she'll come up with a design concept for your home, all online! Not only does she have impeccable taste in home decor, but girlfriend can dress! Check out her picks here:

My typical "uniform" is a fitted black tee and jeans. It has been my go-to outfit for years. Lately, skinny jeans are what I turn to - they are perfect for me because they can go from day to night with little alteration. Surprisingly, my favorite pair is from Forever 21! It's important that they are a dark wash & make sure you look at the "ingredients" & get the ones with cotton, polyester and spandex. The perfect combination! From there, I like to add a metallic flat or boot and a chunky necklace. For a more complete look, I'll throw on a bold fitted jacket and I am out the door for any number of events!
