My summer style is all about looking fresh and feeling pretty, without spending too many chickens. Therefore, I look for serviceable but cheap basics and then I scour sales for accessories to liven them up. Here's an example outfit that dresses up or down - and more importantly, protects you from overly vigorous air-conditioning - and lets you feel put-together without feeling fussy. Works just as easily for a regular day out doing errands or hopping around looking at tide pools on a honeymoon or having drinks at a sidewalk cafe. Awesome shades not included.
