As a new college professor under age 30, I work really hard to look smart, hip, and professional while still looking my age. You never know when you’re going to start sweating because a student asked a particularly difficult question. Heck, it’s even more difficult to tell if the university is going to decide which days are AC days versus heater days. So I stick to layers. Then to sustain my style while still fitting in with the less trendy folks in my workplace, I try to mix classic items with more trendy ones. Here I go with a hipper cardigan and high heels while keeping the necklace a bit more subtle and dainty. Throw in a red bag. BAM! You’ve arrived.
