Be a Refashionista - from Lizzie of Cotton and Curls

Hello What the Frock? readers! I know why you love to read this blog...because of all the cute outfit choices and combos as well as the awesome finds for cheap, or if you are like me....it gives me ideas on what to sew or refashion! I'm Lizzie from Cotton and Curls and I'm all about my husband, 2 year old boy and my sewing machine. I'm currently looking at the fall/winter 2011 runway pictures and clothing magazines and all I want to do is SEW.

I'm really just posting about the awesomeness of sewing and how it can change your life, or just your budget. I see potential in everything, jeans from high school, my husband's tee shirt, granny shoes, or what have you, so you don't have to go out there and buy new clothes...you can just change what you have in your closet. I'm hoping this one little post will make you a sewing convert or refashionista as I have changed myself! For example:

Love these white loose, yet skinny pants, had to give it a try! Got this bad boy for free at a yard sale, then just took it in everywhere. Easy peasy.

This Alexa Chung for madewell shirt is the easiest type of top to find at a thrift store and all you have to do is take it in!

These Tommy Hilfiger shorts and D&G pants can either be found in pleated form with the possibility of chopping them into shorts or if you are like me, find some nasty granny pants that are extra big and add the pleats yourself!

And for a future project....these ASOS ponchos are the EASIEST, all you need to have is a yard of cool looking wool fabric or some sweater fabric, cut out a neckline, and hem or fray.

See all the wonderful possibilities!? Hope you are ALL converted! Or maybe thinking about it?
