For the second week of my partnership with Intel Ultrabook™, they've asked me to blog about shoes. Go ahead, I said. Twist my arm. Because as much as I love clothes, I'm much more inspired by shoes and accessories. On a lazy morning, if I don't feel like putting too much effort into my outfit, I'll throw on something basic and then add interest to my look with a rad pair of shoes.
Once again this week, I found inspiration both in and out of my closet. First, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite pairs of shoes.
I got these glittery loafers for Christmas last year. They look so cute with black tights and a flirty little dress.
These bronze sandals have been a staple for the past five summers. They're amazingly comfy and they go with pretty much anything. They're starting to fall apart, so I'll have to find a really good shoe repair place. I can't bear to let them go!
I'll choose function over fashion almost every time, but these preppy striped espadrille flats give me the best of both worlds. I like to wear these with a slouchy oxford shirt and distressed denim shorts.
I can't wait till fall when I can wear these bad boys again. I love the menswear-inspired details and the warm cognac color. I love wearing these with tights, a pencil skirt and a belted cardigan.
These bad boys are the newest member of my menagerie; as a matter of fact, they're so new that I haven't even worn them yet. But I wanted to include them because, well, come on! They're amazing! Bright striped raffia and a sky-high chunky heel - yes, please. I already have my outfit picked out for these: a black flippy skirt and white top with black polka dots.
I also found some amazing shoe inspiration while I was surfing the web on my Intel Ultrabook™. Here's what tickled my fancy this week, shoes in every color of the rainbow.
I'll be back next week with more inspiration. What inspired you this week?
