Pulling Off White - from Kimberly at Hitched Events

Well, hello there! I’m Kimberly with Hitched Events, a boutique event management company focused on Dallas weddings and celebrations. My blog focuses on miscellaneous wedding inspiration as well as random musings from my life as an event planner and newlywed. But enough about that, let’s get to why I’m here, shall we?

When I heard about guest posting on What the Frock?, I knew instantly that I would write about white. See, I recently organized a client’s birthday party with a white theme. From an event standpoint, it was easy enough to play up the color (or lack there of) in the floral and décor for the event, but guests were asked to dress in all white… and that’s a little bit harder.

I think white is incredibly tough to pull off, especially if you’re someone like me who gravitates more toward darker colors all year round (black is the new black, in my opinion) and believe in their slimming effect. But I have to tell you, I was super impressed with the style these partygoers pulled out. Not only was everyone decked out in white from head to toe, but aside from two women wearing the same dress (and one of them was the party hostess, so that kinda sucked for her), there was a huge variety of stylish, white party outfits on display. Who knew??!?  I thought I’d do it Dana-style and post options to get you ready for your next white theme party. And if you’re like me and think you can’t pull off white, a pair of nude Spanx goes a long way!
